Independent Project - Environment

 Environment

Tree, Grass and Rock

When I was trying to build the environment for the game scene, I searched on Youtube and saw this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueo6WJWGvqk&t=3250s, I followed some of the steps in this video and created the rocks and those trees and grass. It taught me how to make the mesh looks random just like the stones using the Decimate modifier in Blender.

I then created some materials (colours) for these things in Unity and placed on them. After making so many 3D models, I am actually looking forward to create some 3D animations in the future.

Here is the first room I've made. I must say, it looks very plain and empty even with some props in it right now.

I think lighting and modeling rooms or environment really are the things that I should learn more in the future. But since I didn't have much time for so many 3D models, I think it is reasonable to look like this as I spent a lot of time on the characters.

This is the second room I've made.

As you can see, it is looking empty like a box.
However, I would say that there is a reason, I replaced the door with eyeballs, this is basically where I am living now, the uni campus. I see each doors as a person and turn them into eyes. Eyes mean the pressure the character gave himself, as he is afraid of how people see him and afraid of being seen.

After destroying the eyeball with a hidden Key (KeyCode), the character can get a key to open the first room above and get a key to open the door in this room.

Next, this is not a room but a short path to the next room. This represent the path that I used to walk to the classroom in real life. There are full of people which are the one eyed monsters in the game. So it represented what the character Mi will experience if he walk from his room to the yellow room.

This is how the inside of the yellow room looks, you may call it the classroom. There are eyes that shoot projectiles to you and the boss commanding those eyeballs to shoot you. I would say it somehow looked like a cage.

After killing the boss, he will be gone and the exit will not be blocked anymore. When you get into the exit, the game restart, just as what I stated in my gameplay concept.
